Watsontown celebrated its 150th Anniversary as a Borough in 2017. Our Sesquicentennial Committee worked diligently on a celebration that everyone could enjoy.
The festivities began on Thursday, August 3, 2017 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Watsontown Memorial Park followed by the Watsontown Ministry Vesper Service.
On Friday, August 4th, there was a Historic Walking Tours of Watsontown during the day & a Community Festival at Memorial Park in the evening.
Saturday, August 5th was the gigantic Sesquicentennial Parade followed by festivities at Memorial Park.
Sunday, August 6th was the Beard, Goatee & Mustache Contest & the Period Costume Contest; entertainment & festivities continued & closed with a fantastic fireworks display.
